8 Jan: County Champs round up [Top]
Matt Locker made a rare but valuable performance for the club in Saturday's County Champs by finishing an excellent 3rd in the Senior men's race, the best individual performance by a senior man for a few years.
The team packed well to finish 4th and just shy of a medal, with new member Dave Giles again to the fore in the team count (27th) and Tim Twentyman 4th Vet overall.
Michelle Buckle was first back for the senior ladies in 10th but was 3rd Vet with the team finishing in 6th and the Vets team picking up a bronze medal.
In the junior races with the exception of the U13 Boys the turnout from club members was relatively sparse. The U13s were rewarded for their efforts with 3rd team and James Fradley was 2nd.
U13s Team ready to run!
Sophie Goodfellow finished in 10th in the U13 Girls, Ben Meir 12th in the U15 Boys and Paul Fradley 17th in the U17 Boys.
Good luck to those who made the Staffs County Team in the Intercounties in March!
