Andy Webster Memorial 5K Race

Easy does it! A very windy evening welcomed the runners for 2011's Andy Webster Memorial run, held on Monday 12th September, which didn't seem to hinder too much the predicted finishing times.

The run is a 'limp wrist' 5km off road race which means that the winner, rather than being first over the line, is the one who is closest to their predicted finish time.

Just over 50 runners took part and for the first time the winner managed to finish in their predicted time!

Mystic Katie Tarper came back bang on 32.00 minutes, as she herself predicted, to win the ladies prize with Kath Morris just 6 seconds out.

Mark Flint was the men's winner, 11 seconds out, with Ken Richards next best at 18 seconds out.

The wooden spoon went to young James Taylor who was almost 10 minutes quicker than he predicted!

Just over £100 was raised for a charity of Glynis' choice from entry fees and the raffle.
